For any fans of the UK Ghosts I would recommend getting a copy of The Button House archives. The audio version is read by the cast. You get a lot more insight into the characters, especially the Captain and his time in the military.

I know Americans find this concept hard to grasp because everything over there revolves around networks milking a property until they've squeezed the last bit of life out of it. But the UK show is done. The creators are happy with what they achieved and are moving onto new projects. Maybe one of the cast will have another guest role like they did in season 2 of Ghosts US but that's probably the closest you'll get to a crossover between the different versions.
