I haven’t managed to see The Brutalist yet, but this does make me less enthusiastic to see it, and especially for it to win Oscars. However, The Brutalist won Best Actor in a Drama, Best Director, and Best Drama at the Golden Globes, so they haven’t come out empty handed at all. I do find it ironic that Timothee Chalamet is fighting for a record that is currently held by his immediate competition.

My problem with the movie was simply the writing. There were countless characters introduced in this movie, and each one was tweaked and given a different origin story. However, they were all practically the same. If you want to rewrite comics, make it unique.

I love the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films, but I do think that we could receive better films as long as they receive good direction. The Webb films are my least favorite of the three big Spider-Man franchises, but that isn’t the fault of Andrew Garfield’s acting, or frankly anyone else in those films, in my opinion.

I would argue that in the timeline of the Back to the Future world, Doc Brown and Marty are still the first time travelers as they traveled in the 1800s in the third film.
