Humans, here on Earth, are not black. They are beautiful shades of brown. Cancel culture is a bit over the top on this one. There is no “drow problem” to fix. And if they do “fix” it, they will alienate more fans than they will gain from a movie adaptation. My recommendation would be to leave it alone and make some great movies.

By all means, stop using the word “race” to distinguish species of elves from one another. By all means, use some brown humans to play drow to avoid “black-face” concerns, but , this is fantasy and anyone can be anything they want, so don’t make it exclusive. Most importantly please don’t change the drow from being an evil society. That would be unforgivable.
