I'm very sad about the Acolyte. I love Star Wars and dearly want it to succeed as a franchise. But the Acolyte has drained me of hope.

The story was poorly written. This is it's primary flaw. Most of it's other faults could probably be forgiven, but Star Wars is a mythology that means so much to so many people. It has literally helped to form western culture. The franchise deserved better than this poorly written entry.

It's a shame because not everything about this show was bad. But if the story is nonsense then the good things have nothing to hang from.

Hoping future entries will do better, but I won't hold my breath.
