These articles are really crossing the line by taking the position that Michael made Angela abuse him. To be clear, victim blaming is disgusting and just plain wrong. Nobody deserves to be abused, and the only person responsible for domestic violence is the perpetrator.

Also worth noting is that Immigrants are particularly vulnerable, and in fact, the power differential is often a primary motivator for Americans seeking foreign spouses. Additionally, for the record, allegations that Michael used Angela to immigrate to the US are completely unsubstantiated by evidence. And finally, Angela, thank God, doesn't get to decide who can stay in the US.
