I wanted to see Isobel retire, Jubal promoted into her job, and Cam given Jubal's old job. It would keep her on a leadership track but still occasionally put her in the field where she excels. Raines and Smitty would both have been good for the new CIA series. I never warmed to the Mitchell character, but everybody else on International seemed to have more to do and more to say.

That said, Most Wanted ended very well.

In the 1966-68 TV series, Bruce Wayne was a big believer in prison reform, and in prison AS reform. He thought that if prisons handled prisoners the right way, they could cure inmates of the desire for crime. And, as portrayed on that show, Gotham was pretty much 1950s New York with Los Angeles' mountains and coastline: Not much crime, occasionally needing Batman and Robin to help out. Whatever Bruce was doing, in a suit and in a costume, it was working.

It's important to that Gibbs is telling the story. He may be an unreliable narrator, going overboard with Rule Number 7: "Always be specific when you lie." We know he's not above lying when it suits his needs. Indeed, having been an undercover agent, it's a job requirement. Also, given his current age, his memory may no longer match up with the facts.

We could simply dismiss the reference to September 19, 1952, and the entire episode "A War for All Seasons" (as good as it was) as "non-canon." But how do we explain three years of war, and four Christmas episodes?
