I was enjoying the show, but I’m not sad to see it go. The showrunner was far too, determined to put his own twist on the tail that he never thought he should match it up with how the story should flow. In season three it felt like if he tried to realign with the books a little bit. And the show was much better off for it. It honestly felt like if the showrunner did not care for the books and that overall hurt the show.

Well yeah, I think they actually attempted to have 1000 monkeys in 100 typewriters remake the story. All the showrunner can say is “shock value” he does not have a coherent narrative anymore. And is trying to shoehorn parts of the story back in.

it would be hard to create a TV series out of a book. I think I was spoiled because of how amazing of a job they did with a song of ice and fire. This series sometimes feels like if they just took the books and threw them into a shredder then mix them up and put them back together. With a Goth edge don’t forget the Goth edge. A lot of changes I can understand but some of these are just because the show runner thinks he knows best.

All the books are in a wood chipper. The show Runner has absolutely butchered this series. And he is an absolutely terrible storyteller. The entire series was laid out before him, but he wanted to be edgy.

There was something like 54 million people who had read the books who are wanting an honest adaptation. And then this guy stepped out and said I know better than the guy who wrote the books. And then proceeded to absolutely slaughter the story.

This season is a lot better than the ones before it, but it’s still completely butchering the books. It does not matter what’s in the books with how the showrunner has thrown it into a wood chipper. I will continue to watch the TV series. But after the first three episodes of the TV show, the books just didn’t matter anymore. It’s more of a loose interpretation.

i don’t mind if this show does not get another season. It’s kind of difficult to watch one of my favourite books get consistently turned into toilet paper. I am able to enjoy the show but it is because it is so bad. These books had one chance to get a tv show, to bad the show runner thought he was better then the author.

Rafe Judkins it’s not really good as a show runner. This man should definitely have been a butcher. In the books, Perrin is by far my favourite character. So I have had a bit of issues with watching them get absolutely destroyed in the TV series. I am fully able to watch and enjoy the series that is very loosely based on the source material. My one joy is ing on to my friend who loves the books all the changes that they made. He keeps telling me how he’s completely over it. But in the season when they don’t have Matt get hung on the edge of the spear like he was supposed to. I know when I told him that I could still feel his pain at how badly butchered the series is. I don’t even really have parents contemplating the differences between the axe and the hammer. Too bad there will never be a true retelling of the series.

As this show is very loosely based on books. Heck one of the only reasons I watch this show now is to tell my friend who loves these books and refuses to watch this butchering of the source material. Is to tell him what part of the story they are mutilating now. I have enjoyed some parts of this TV series but it is a multiverse retelling.
