None of these movies were destined to be regarded as great art, although, as someone who was close in age to the characters portrayed in Dazed and Confused, I can definitely say I knew a number of people who fit the characterizations.

However, I get a broad sense of pearl clutching here about a bunch of movies that were very much products the cultural mores of the time that they were created.

Consequently, expecting these films to track current world views is going to result in consternation

All That Jazz has long been one of my all time favorite movies, ever since seeing in the theater during its initial release. Seeing it on a big screen is a must.

As far as my favorite Kubrick movie goes, it would have to be Full Metal Jacket which portrays the sheer madness that is war.
