I do have one comment.

How about some new fresh blood like me be given a chance. I have tried to get some of my own works published for more than a decade and I think some of my works would garner some interest. This includes a six hundred or so original fantasy novel I put together starting in the early 2010's. It's done. It just needs some editing but no one I submitted it to already wants to give it a chance.

If they want to make it different from the I. P. why than bother even implying its part of an I.P. They might as well say "we just want to do what we want" which is fine but then just say it's a new independent movie which isn't based on an existing intellectual property?

I agree. Someone or some people gave Brent Spiner a golden opportunity when he was young. Another. young actor should get the same opportunity now.
