Too bad these cool things will never be seen again after this. That's the unfortunate part about Digimon Crossovers. They last for a single vpet which only has pixel art on the screen (and a statue in this case) and then disappears forever.

It would be cool if Eggman returns. But he doesn't NEED to. , Jim Carrey was originally gonna retire before he came back for Sonic 4. We shouldn't be demanding he come back again. We should respect his wishes. If he comes back, great! If not, it's not the end of the world and the movie franchise will still do fine without him.

I mean, he already survived what should have been an unsurvivable situation in the second movie, and always coming back is on brand for the character. I'm pretty sure the reason he keeps 'dying is to give him an out if he decides he doesn't want to return. But we never actually see his body, which is intentional to ensure he CAN come back if he wants to.
