I think many of these characters probably will make good subjects for canon novels but as for live action, the best approach is probably to jump them ahead to the Filoni time period. Mon Mothma has already been on Ahsoka, Vel could easily fit along side her there. Kleya could also fit nicely as a guest character. It would be interesting to see how these people fit into the New Republic. Likewise, Dedra being an imperial true believer until the very end could easily be drawn to the imperial remnants. She’s a war criminal so the republic probably wouldn’t let her go but I could also see Thrawns people raiding the prisons for imperials.

I’d say a good move would be to tell a story in which they find a way to rescue younger Jon while keeping the older one around. Since allowing his son to go through that has been one of Superman’s greatest failures. Have two of them for a while and then a good remedy to that problem would be to send older Jon to the future to the Legion of Superheroes and launch a new volume of that series with Jon at the helm.
