The show is AWESOME! Some of the best stuff on television right now. No TV series or book ever follows the book on which it was based. Tolkien never said how Sauron acquired and distributed the rings. So, it is entirely open to imagination. They show's creators have done an amazing job of writing a job an imagined version of that backstory. The drama is well-written, the acting is superb, the special effects are amazingly ambitious for any TV series. The sets and costumes are otherworldly.

Seriously... what more do you want? The reviewer should get a clue, stop being such a whiny nitpicker, learn about the essentials of dramatic story telling, and LEARN HOW TO WRITE!
