See AllOne Jurassic Park Dinosaur Was Way Scarier In Real Life Than The Movie Showed
Also how they've later explained away in the late films the reptile skin vs feathers inaccuracies present in the older films. They're not exactly cloning dinosaurs in the books or the films if they're filling in those missing DNA gaps with amphibian. They're engineering dinosaurs in an attempt to recreate them, and then explicitly expand on that in the later films by trying to create new species. The whole plot point that they're able to reproduce due to the amphibian DNA when they're all supposed to be female just makes it clear that being accurate to how the dinosaurs actually were wasn't the goal of either medium.
