The setup for season 2 of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier “ is right there. Now Stan has a purpose, taking on the role that Steve had in his life, not as a figurehead; but as a friend who inspired him to become greater, not necessarily as a Congressman, but as a person. Steve wasn’t focused on the figurehead, he was focused on being the best person he could be, on doing the right thing. Buck could be figuring that out; which would be a compelling story to me. He literally BUCKS off the identity politics, and does the right thing.
