Every Kryptonite Color in Superman History Explained (Along With Their Effects & Rarity)
Green Kryptonite has been retconned so many times it’s hard to know where to start. I like the explanation given in the Batman/Superman series a few years ago. Green kryptonite forces the solar energy out of a Kryptonian’s cells in an extremely painful manner (think all your nerves on fire) and slowly destroys them. The Kryptonian (if still alive) once out of the effect radius of the green Kryptonite will recovery with yellow sunlight replenishing in their cells. This explanation seems to fit almost every use of Kryptonite in almost every iteration from Christopher Reeve to Justice League Unlimited and more.
Silver Kryptonite is actually a magically enchanted form of kryptonite which affected Superman to make him appear high.
