Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
This was a pretty outstanding book, and they did a decent job with the adaptation! Big props the hair and makeup team on this one, they did a remarkable job capturing the characters. Cool to see Ella Purnell in a pre-Fallout role.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
This does everything it can to establish a great action hero at the center of these movies. It is the movie most tied to everything Indie -- his whip, his alternate identity, and his fear of snakes. And has an intriguing plot all along.

Mare of Easttown
Mare of Easttown is one of my favorite series of all time. Kate Winslet is almost unrecognizable, as she full merges into the character of Mare. You're left wondering what lengths Mare will go to, with some tragic conclusions along the way.

Mirror Mirror
This is much better than the more shot-for-shot adaptations that are seen with many animation to live-action far, but it does not do enough different to keep Mirror Mirror significantly interesting. Pretty forgettable overall.

The Sea Beast
The Sea Beast is basically an animated film that you forget right after you watch it. The animation style does look nice, but the characters are not well defined, and I don't under how this wound up nominated for Best Animated Feature.

Saving Mr. Banks
I thought Saving Mr. Banks was just okay. Tom Hanks is decent in it, but kind of unwinds the story in a way that is not the most intuitive, and does not balance the time between the two time periods in a way that works very well.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
A great feature film version of a fantastic comedy troupe. So quotable, and a fun adventure that is one of the more family friendly romps of any of the full length Monty Python movies. Worth watching even today!
