The Molecule Man incident makes the Sentry's end by Knull even stranger.

I'll it that I never liked the Knull character, such as it was (Knull is Chaos King who is Oblivion, but Knull was originally more Lovecraftian, except Lovecraft's gods didn't need swords, or to actually fight), and now I feel a bit more justified with my dislike as it's not only bad but doesn't follow continuity well.

Mark literally tears Conquest apart. His Dad is a famous warrior and in much better shape. Conquest is, mostly, just a psychopath. Great viltrumite strength but not particularly strong. Plus, he's way past his prime.

Appreciate the response, but that's not (or at least shouldn't be) saying "Franklin, the Creator", "Galactus, the Destroyer". It seemed a glib remark, vaguely portentous but without saying anything.

Galactus is the Balance. Cosmically, that's what he is. This has literally been said by Eternity, Thanos, and Living Tribunal on separate occasions.

Richards is (was) a mutant. Fantastically powerful, but just a mutant. He can create worlds, and he's not alone in being able to do that. What's more, if FR died creation would still occur.

Who says Franklin and Galactus are "cosmic opposites"?

Galactus doesn't really have an opposing force. He stands between Death & Eternity, but isn't of either. He's the enigma. The abstract who is embodied. Not a Stranger, but still an outsider.

Franklin has massive reality warping abilities but he doesn't really serve a cosmic role.
