See AllChicago PD's Atwater Episode Is Great, But Fails Season 12's Best Character Story
Honestly, the Val & Kevin situation was quite predictable. But seemed rather rushed. I feel like it may have been more authentic if she served more of a friend first, acknowledging his red flags. Instead of seeming more about the physical attraction to him first. I feel like the true essence of Chicago PD is gone and clearly so are some of the original writers. A continuation of Ruzek's situation would've been the natural state of progression. And for Kim to just bounce back into the picture all hands on-deck, just seems so emotionless. I understand that it appears mental health will be the issue of the season for all of them. But where's the comic relief that made the earlier seasons so great. Trudy doesn't even give us a quick laugh or anything anymore. I feel like Chicago PD may have run its course.
