With an incredible (and Emmy winning) performance from Tatiana Maslany, Orphan Black follows several clones who find each other and begin unraveling the truth behind the organization that created them. Full of crazy twists and turns, Orphan Black is unlike any show I've every watched. And truly, enough cannot be said about Maslany's performance, as she portrays upwards of 15 characters over the course of the show, all with distinct personalities and mannerisms.

Supernatural truly has something for everyone. Some episodes play out like miniature horror movies, while others are pure comedy, and still others are heartbreaking. With two brilliant leads in Sam and Dean Winchester, Supernatural is incredibly re-watchable and will always be one of my favorite television shows of all time. Even though I didn't love the series finale, I enjoyed episodes from all 15 seasons and highly recommend watching the show from beginning to end at least once.

Whether you have been a Trekkie since the beginning or are completely new to the franchise, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is undoubtedly worth watching. Following the adventures of Captain Christopher Pike and his USS Enterprise, the show fills in the time period before Captain Kirk took over command. The cast of Strange New Worlds is pitch-perfect, with Anson Mount's Captain Pike and Celia Rose Gooding's Uhura particular standouts. With the perfect combination of stand-alone adventures and serialized story threads, Strange New Worlds feels like classic Trek made for the modern era of television and pretty much everything about just works.

If you are even a little interested in pirates, then you should absolutely watch Black Sails. It's like a grittier Pirates of the Caribbean if it had been made by a cable network instead of Disney. With a cast of characters made up of real-life inspired pirates and fictional pirates from Treasure Island, Black Sails delivers incredibly compelling stories throughout its four seasons, and comes to a satisfying conclusion at the end.

TNG was my introduction to the Trek universe and upon finishing it, I wanted to watch anything and everything to do with Star Trek. Despite the outdated special effects, TNG mostly holds up today, as its stories and characters remain compelling and often relevant. TNG is a science fiction classic for a reason, and it's the perfect place to start for those looking to dive into the Star Trek universe.
