The Searchers Ethan Edward's is one of three roles that Wayne could have won an Oscar for. The other two being Nathan Brittles in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon and John Stryker in Sands of Iwo Jima. In fact Brittles was Wayne's favorite role.

They were SAILORS, not soldiers. If you don't think there is a difference, I suggest you call a sailor a soldier or vice versa. They will be glad to explain the difference to you.

Why is the fact that there are no women in the episode a blight? If there were a larger cast i might agree, but this episode was a very limited group. There are only 5 main characters, the TOS trinity, Ken Lynch as the head miner and Janos Prohaska as the Horta. Why must there be a token of every group as if they were getting a participation trophy?

Thor's entrance to the battle in Wakanda should be the way he is treated from now on. That stupid fat suit and being a drunk was so stupid and is hated by every real Thor fan.

What about McLintock with Maureen O'Hara? There was broad humor and numerous laughs in that film. Although I will it that perhaps North to Alaska did pave the way for his comedy chops. You could add Hatari and Donovan's Reef , and say that he made more humorous films later in his career.

As it seems with every SR article that whoever writes these articles either has not really seen the film or wasn't paying attention. In The Searchers, John Wayne ISN'T a gunfight, ge is a returning Civil War vet, who may have questionably obtained money. Also Henry Brandon was the leader Scar in The Searchers while Woody Strode plays Quanah Parker the Commanche chief. While mistake could have been an assumption while the other is being plain lazy in checking facts.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I was wondering why didn't Feige recast Ross the man who first did it. Sam Elliot. Elliot and Hurt bear a resemblance, it must be the mustache, and fans him as Ross. As for reassembling the Avengers, Thor will always be keeping an eye on Earth and will know when he is needed. Also it would be nice if he got to say Avengers Assemble as it Thor who said it in the comics not Steve Rogers.

If it were scoth whiskey or Klingon Blood Wine I would understand. But scotch over Irish whiskey? Sacrilegious. It would be like asking a Scotsman to drink Bourbon. Or worse, a Kentuckian to drink scotch.
