Every thing is always looted. There's only so much gold in the game short of stealing it from the bank. And yeah not hard to blow through gold and be broke especially with small party group having to out damage larger groups. Food may be every where but high level scrolls are not. And multiple high lvl scrolls can be wiped out with bad rolls. 8-10 800g scrolls go poof into thin air with no effect, makes for some rough Resurrection costs. A year of playing and I've not made it to act 2 on honor mode but I imagine that's even worse.
