If The Wheel Of Time Show Is Following The Books, One Of These Characters Is Secretly A Forsaken
They've already dropped Sammael into Asmodean's position if i'm not mistaken.
This Iconic Metal Album Outsold Nirvana’s Nevermind by 7 Million Copies, But Which Is Better?
Its not even close. The black album was the stone that tripped Metallica and started their fall. Its not even a metal album unless you're one of those who consider ac/dc metal. If it is, its the easy listening, elevator musak version of metal.
It marks where Metallica decided mass radio play was better than developing thrash further.
It marked the point where they decided fans were the enemy. Just a sack of dollar bills to exploit. Where they got in with the RIAA on order to sue fans because they were ing a song that they could, and just a few years prior were exclusively, just record off the radio onto a tape - while pretending that grabbing it from Napster would cause them millions in damage vs recording it off the radio, which apparently didn't hurt them at all.
The Black album is where Metallica gave up and decided being musicians wasn't nearly as worthwhile as just being a show. Where a lot of old fans gave up on them.
Now, you can tell me they went back to being metal eventually, that they took up the standard oc thrash again, and i'll take your word for it, as i havent touched anything of theirs since. Once they decided half their fans were the enemy, i followed their lead and treated them the same. There's enough metal out there that i don't need to worry about a few thrashers who decided to flirt with dadrock level hard rock, even if they did return to the fold.
Discworld's New Adaptations Prove How Badly We Need Another Shared Terry Pratchett Universe
Nicole has it right, the Guarxmds subseries would probably be the best ones to start with, as it contains the most byplay with the factions with the least amount of fantastical elements to make production difficult. Either that or the Von Lipwig storyline. Its similar in that way, tho shorter than the full Guards. Plus, there's already a suprisingly decent version of Going Postal out there.
. Don't get me wrong, i love the wizards and the witches, but those require a lot more fx and a lot more buy in from the audience. The Death stories are probably in between those two extremes.
Netflix’s Dungeons & Dragons Show Is The Perfect Opportunity To Highlight One Underrated Spell From The Game
I feel like only someone with no understanding of comedy would think enforced laughing adds to actual humor.
I'm Disappointed About A Nightmare On Elm Street's Future, But The Fate Of This 45-Year-Old Slasher Gives Me Hope
Agreed. I like Jackie Earl, but he's no Freddy. Unlike the vast majority of slashers, who become iconic through their presence, Freddy was uniquely successful because of his *personality*. Any replacement HAS to be able to recapture that, whereas Jason and Mikey only need an actor with an intimidating presence (though quality can still matter here, Hodder had a way about him that's hard to beat).

Scream hasn't HAD any reboot movies. They have all been sequels.
“This Is The Scene That Took Me Out Of It”: Gladiator 2 Fight Scene Gets Mixed Response From VFX Artists For A Few Key Reasons, Despite “Really Good” CGI Work
I recently saw a video of a troop of baboons when a leopard showed up for lunch. The leader ushered the troop down the trail, then turned around, jogged up to the leopard, punched it upside the head and started wailing on it and tossing it around. Then like 6 more smaller baboons jumped in and the leopard ran for its life.
Yeah, pretty sure a big bull baboon would take a human apart.
I Still Can't Believe George Lucas Thought Revenge Of The Sith Would Be The Prequel Trilogy's Least Popular Movie
Really, as others have said, the prequels were let down by acting, plot, comic relief, and the directing. Especially sad considering the talent level of many of the actors involved. Lucas is... not great at his job. He got lucky with Star Wars forming an almost instant cult status. If it didn't have that after the first three, the last 6 would have been boat anchors in the box office. The setups for RotS were ridiculous. Rather than spending any time creating believable reasons for Pe dying, for Anakin going afyer the kids, they just rubber stamp it as an event, totally unearned.
There's two things i can say about the prequel trilogy - they are more entertaining to sit through than the sequel trilogy, and they have the best lightsaber action of any of the movies. That's it.
It's Been 20 Years, & I'm Convinced Everyone Is Still Missing The Real Reason Anakin Killed Mace Windu
I think you're on the right track, but i think you missed the mark slightly. I don't think Anakin thought they were wrong about Palps and himself. I think Anakin believed they were RIGHT about Palpatine, and by extension, Anakin as well. When Mace said that about Palpatine, i think Anakin realized that he'd be facing the same judgement very soon, probably from Mace himself. His act was a selfish one, he set Mace up to die, because Anakon believed his neck would be the next one on the block after Palpatine was dealt with.
Most Star Wars Fans Missed The Moment Anakin Failed Ahsoka, Leaving The Galaxy To Rot
Lol, the argument is that Anakin made all the wrong decisions with Ahsoka compared to Obi Wan's choices with Anakin? Which one turned into a sith lord of the galaxy again?
I'm not saying Anakin did everything or even much of anything right, but holding up obi wan as a paragon of correct decision making, especially in regards to his handling of anakin seems a bit wild.
Wait, Did The Jedi Actually Know Palpatine Was Building A Death Star Before Revenge Of The Sith?!?
The jedi missed an entire massive cloning project going on under their noses for ages. There's no reason to think they'd HAVE to know about the construction of a space station. The galaxy is a big place. Further, it could have been on the book as "just" a normal station, not a super weapon.
Sure, kenobi could have known what it was, bit he could have run into details or rumors later than the prequels. He very well could have just been sensing all the lofe forces over on it, as well. Or the giant kyber crystals it used for focusing the weapon.
Either way, i think it's most likely the jedi had no idea what it was at the time. They were fairly clearly depicted as having their heads firmly up their bottoms during the prequels, running in circles, whether from hubris or because the dark side was clouding things up.
10 Lesser-Known Sci-Fi Movies For Those Who Feel Like They've Seen All The Decent Ones
Man, no mention of Strange Days? That's criminal, imo.
I do have to say, i've always enjoyed Johnny M, tho it's never going to be in a list of best movies. Part of it is just that i discovered Gibson in my teens, and it was the only movie based on his work. Part of it is just that it's fun at many points. Yes, i know the story is largely butchered from the Gibson story, but i forgive it.
James Gunn & Peter Safran Confirm The Director Set To Helm The DCU's "Incredible Body Horror Film"
Yay, almost time to see how DC machine guns their foot off yet again.
"Streaming Has Had A Big Problem With Epic Fantasy": Author Brandon Sanderson Weighs In On Fantasy TV, Cites Rings Of Power & Wheel Of Time As Disappointments
This was a big problem for the acolyte, as well. Runtimes were.way too short to keep it cohesive and flesh things out as much as they should have been.
"Well, They Can Watch The Animated Movie": How To Train Your Dragon Director Responds To Live-Action Detractors As New Trailer Releases
AH, i see dreamworks is trying to get into the same spot Pixar was in before Inside Out 2. IO2 saved oixar from bankruptcy, i wonder if dreamworks can as well!
Terminator 7's Perfect Arnold Schwarzenegger Replacement Is Appearing In A Movie With Him This Year
Presumably, the terrible writing since the third movie would be why they're putting it back in the hands of the writer/director of 1&2.
Terminator 7's Perfect Arnold Schwarzenegger Replacement Is Appearing In A Movie With Him This Year
My first experience with Ritchson was as Thad on BMS. I haven't even been able to pull the trigger on reacher yet, because the idea of him being some serious super agent just can't gain traction in my mind. I'm sure i'll get there eventually, but it seems so weird seeing him described as "stoic" with only bms to think of.
I've Finally Figured Out Why Obi-Wan Couldn't Help Luke Skywalker Against Vader & Palpatine
I was thinking about this, too. I would suggest that the sith version is more of a possession than force ghosting. Afaik (and my experience and memory here is not the best), but the sith spirits are generally stuck in one spot or tied to a singular item. So while it is a form of ghost, the sith version seems much more limited in their agency and much easier to permanently destroy.
Cyberpunk 2077's Most Immersion-Breaking Feature Could Become A Game-Changing Mechanic In The Sequel
I got fed a bunch of articles from here about Cyberpunk, and man, it is clear they have only the barest surface understanding of the setting in general and the game in particular.
Cyberpunk 2077 Made Me Realize It Is Impossible To Play As A Villain
Well said, though i believe it's pondsmith, not pondersmith.
