I dont disagree and yet the changes to the main characters made no sense. Perrin didn't need a wife, Matt didn't come from a terrible family and Rand actually was an important part of the plot. The changes made here.....not sure who they made sense to.

Wait, you think this show is going to air long enough to worry about Elayne's warders. I assume the show will get 1 more season and no more. They have already waited a bit to announce a renewal. I dont see this story getting finished.

I think that the first 2 seasons show that they had little interest in adapting the books the way they were written. They changed characters for no meaningful reason and took away the early high points for Rand. The fact that the series has just now gotten better doesn't bode well for it. Even if they get renewed, this isnt going to last 10 seasons. They are simply going to have to finish this whole series in 6 seasons, if they are luck enough to run that long.

If you read the books in sequence in today, I did 2 years back, it doesn't feel like that long. Now when I read them at time of publication, they literally had Faile as a captive for years.

We all know this is an adaptation and that most would agree the books were better. Establishing all of that, the issue I have is that they deviated and made crap up so much for the first 2 seasons, that they lost a lot of the readers who were such big fans.

If I have to wait for season 3 or your show to be like, wow, now they seem to get it, it's too late. On top of this, this show is super expensive. They wouldn't even finish the Expanse and Jeff Bezos himself brought the show to Amazon. I don't see this show making it to the end. It is costing serious money to make and they are not getting anywhere near Game of Thrones numbers.

I loved Carol Danvers. Her turn as Ms. MARVEL as so entertaining. Her attempts at being a hero, her reckoning with Rogue, her going on dates. She was an entertaining person who didn't act like an emotionless Vulcan.

Carol had a hero's journey that led to her being Captain Marvel and embracing her power. She went from powerful to Uber powerful and it was a cool story to follow.

Truth is they did her dirty with the MCU. They made her emotionless, drab, just not likable and Brie didn't help herself in her behavior during the press for the Avengers movies. If they had let Carol be a bit more fun, gave her a better back story, perhaps she would have been better accepted

I disagree entirely. I think the reality is that if the movie is good, the fans will find it. Perhaps in spite of themselves, but they find it. All we saw with the Marvels was bad press and defensive attitudes and behaviors. The easiest way to defeat the CHUDs is to make an excellent movie. Success is always the answer.

Instead, this phase of the MCU will be known for so-so streaming series and one not good movie after another.

I think you answered to your own premise here. You didn't played the games and therefore don't understand the issue here. Why write a story discussing what you don't understand?

Perhaps the last few years are different, but I seem to recall Young Avengers constantly getting published and then canceled for low sales. In fact most of the younger teams seldom sell well for long. Young Allies was fun, Hope had a team of her own and there were others, the Young people put in murder world, forgot what they was called. The reality seems to be that fans, the ones who buy the comics and love the characters, prefer their established older characters

I am sure when I pick up Outlaws for 20 bucks this year I will like it more than I expected to. Same with the new AC Shadows game which I will check out in a year or 2 when it is cheap.

We shall see with Rachel Zeigler. I think the only money she has ever made for a movie was with that hunger games prequel. Everything else has tanked. Was it her or was she just in bad movies?

It's weird. I am not sure the movie flopped because of her, but I am not sure it matters. This is a niche horror movie from a niche company. Not sure they were courting Wednesday viewers and of course Wednesday season 2 is taking so long we may see Scream 7 first

Another great character changed because........Faile didn't really need any tooling. Her character arc was solid and her parental connections only important well after she had been established. In fact her mom was a true force of nature.

Wow , I just don't know how to respond. Veilgard is regarded by many as a bad Dragon Age game. It is even further from what made Origins great and the story is easily the worst. This is a strange suggestion that Veilgard being on Game is a win for EA

I am trying to understand the point of this. Despite the massive changes they have made to the source material, you could make this statement about numerous things. Adapting a book full of intrigue and hidden traitors means that the show version will retain some of that and readers would know the answers.

So you give him a terrible name, after who knows how long he has been called Winter Solider. Then you pair him with X-23, who they really want to pretend is Wolverine. I just don't think consistent creative and Canon mean anything to the modern creative. Probably why their books don't sell as much as they once did.

So look the other way. What if Majors had ultimately been convicted of far worse stuff and now Disney is stuck with him as Kang. They have shareholders, they count and shouldn't have taken any risks here and they didnt.

I don't think Marvel abandoning Kang was controversial to anyone. Dude was accused of some bad stuff, Disney was forced to pivot. Nobody was fighting for this guy to keep his job
