Before Chekov, Star Trek: The Original Series Had A Different Navigator Who Often Gets Overlooked
Eddie Paskey, who played Mr. Leslie (among others) was in 60 of the 79 TOS episodes, more than Sulu (51) and Chekhov (36). Although he had speaking lines in only four episodes, I agree he should have is own article. Truly a great crewmember doing the dirty work.
How Khan Recognizes Chekov In Star Trek II, Despite Not Meeting Him In The TV Series
Actually it was VI that exploded, not IV. See? Clerical errors mixing up planets is easy, lol. Simple mistake on the part of some not-so-stellar Stellar Cartographer.
Dr. McCoy's First Star Trek Nickname Wasn't Bones & The Original Still Makes Me Laugh Today
Interesting article. Good job mentioning the John Hoyt character from "The Cage" pilot. Interestingly enough, his nickname was 'Bones' as well. So, really it would seem the Enterprise doctor, whomever it was, was always meant to be affectionately called Bones. The parallel to westerns at the time being spot on.
The reboot was not worth mentioning though. McCoy's nickname, like almost everything else, was changed only for the sake of change so the ego driven director could put his own stamp on a beloved franchise. I mean, the plot of that movie is you have a spaceship from the future go back in time, then have to wait 25 years for it's commander to get a fevered revenge, when during that entire time those 25 years could have been easily used to save his civilization instead (either through science or evacuation). Great cast, all wasted on such a stupid script. I mean, try and imagine Nichelle Nichols and Leonard Nimoy arguing like schoolchildren on an away mission, and you can't. Spock and Uhura were professionals, not adolescents. Anyway, Karl Urban was great as McCoy, but again, no reason to change the source material there other than someone thinking they were clever when in reality it was the complete opposite. What a waste of a good cast. Other than that, good article.
Why Patrick Stewart Hated Picard’s Pet Lionfish In Star Trek: The Next Generation
Cool article. I did not know his name was Livingston.
Why Captain Kirk's Tombstone Said "James R. Kirk" In Star Trek Season 1
Maybe Gary Mitchell got confused and thought his middle name was "Roy". (Kudos to anyone who has seen The Changeling episode and gets that lame joke).
The Same Actor Who Played Young Picard In Star Trek: The Next Generation Also Portrayed A Member Of Jean-Luc's Family
His performance is one of the best things about "Rascals". I love how he perfected several of Patrick Stewart's mannerisms (such as the straightening out of the tunic while engaging with the crew). He really helped turn a show with a fairly weak script into a fun episode.
I’m Happy We’re Getting Scrubs Season 10, But I’d Have Loved To See Where Med School Was Headed
Cox is one of the greatest characters ever. Him vs. Kelso was great fun. Sarah Chalke really grew into her character. Jan Itor was awesome and Ted too. The only character I liked in Season 9 was Elisha Coupe, who was stellar as Denise. As much as I loved Scrubs the first time around, Braff makes rewatches more and more unwatchable especially into the later seasons. Faison was great by himself but his bromance with Braff got old and the TMobile commercials were almost nauseating.
