MOB Games revealed Poppy Playtime Ch.3: Will We Ever Leave The Factory?
Unraveling The Limited Information For Project: Playtime
Not much has been revealed officially about Project: Playtime, but MOB Games has confirmed that it will be set in the Playtime Co. toy factory. Both the letter and image included in the official announcement also feature what some players have speculated to be an IP address. The letter itself insists that it's key for accessing a computer where necessary information is buried. Since the letter is addressed to the writer's mother, it might be the case that players won't be taking on the role of a former Playtime Co. employee this time around.
It's likely that Project: Playtime will have some big Poppy Playtime lore reveals. Players have found possible assets for Project: Playtime hidden in the files for Poppy Playtime Ch. 2, including multiple colored player models and hand symbols for the GrabPack, which seems to play another key role in gameplay. All of the GrabPack hands hanging in the teaser image for Project: Playtime might imply that the players are not the first group to attempt to find Playtime Co.'s secrets, but they might be running through the factory before the former employee in Poppy Playtime arrives.
In regard to when Project: Playtime may be set, the letter is dated 1991 - the year Mommy Long Legs toys start to be d - and some workers are recorded talking about the company's charity work with orphans. This means that humans have become toys at Playtime Co. successfully, including Marie Payne, and the factory is still operating, so players could be entering either while the factory is open or shortly after it's shut down. Since not much information has been given, players should have plenty of secrets to unravel once Project: Playtime officially releases in December.
