The likes of May 2021's PS Plus offers - Battlefield V, Stranded Deep, and Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last - to their libraries by Monday, May 31.
PS Plus additions throughout the year have been solid for the most part. In January, for example, PS5 owners gained access to Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remnant: From the Ashes, Days Gone, and Oddworld: Soulstorm.
As noted in a recent PS Plus-related leak, Star Wars: Squadrons counts among one of the three games hitting the subscription service next month on June 1. According to a PlayStation Blog post, on PS4 and PS5 can grab the starfighter combat title until Monday, July 5. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown serves as another freebie, though it'll stick around through Monday, August 2. The PS Blog added that PS Now subscribers can experience the fighter starting in June, as well. The PlayStation 5 version of co-op spy adventure Operation: Tango rounds out June 2021's PS Plus offers; akin to Squadrons, the cooperative game will remain available to PS Plus subscribers through July 5.
The critically acclaimed Star Wars: Squadrons inarguably warrants recognition as PS Plus' biggest get for next month. When jumping into the Motive Studios-developed experience, players can expect engaging single-player and multiplayer modes that emphasize space combat and conflicts in a world post-Return of the Jedi. Virtua Fighter 5, on the other hand, pits combatants against each other in one-on-one battles via offline and multiplayer modes. Meanwhile, Operation: Tango asks friends to team up for asymmetrical challenges spread across a near-future world. Due to the co-op title's emphasis on teamwork, each player will need to have access to a working microphone.
As PS Plus' offerings continue to improve, so, too, does its number of active s. At the end of April, Sony reported a PS Plus subscriber count of nearly 48 million. It seems safe to say that another increase could soon be on the horizon.
