The Screen Rant's 2021 Game of the Year winner.
Roguelike deck-builder Inscryption will leave the PlayStation Plus Game Cata June 2025, per GameSpot. The incredible experience has a flurry of different inspirations, and doesn't even feature consistent gameplay elements across its three acts, where its mind-bending metatextual story unfolds as players are forced into an odd tabletop game run by a mysterious GM named Leshy. Inscryption leaves PS Plus alongside five other games in June: Monster Hunter Rise, After Us, Kayak VR: Mirage, Rogue Legacy 2, and AVICII Invector.
Try Inscryption Before It Leaves PS Plus
A Must-Play
Inscryption is best played without any prior knowledge of its story, so I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum here. It's yet another astounding work by a solo developer, like last year's equally compelling Animal Well. Inscryption challenges the bounds of the video game medium, taking heavy inspiration from found footage horror to bring some truly unexpected turns to the story.
Inscryption has an incredible, if unsettling, ambiance, and, unlike Balatro, it isn't content with taking its central gameplay mechanics and pushing them to extreme limits. It instead shifts gears frequently as its three acts unfold, throwing curveballs at the player as they slowly piece together what's actually going on in the game. Inscryption is set to leave PS Plus around the same time new games are added in June, usually just after halfway through the month.
Plenty Of Great Games Are Leaving PS Plus In June 2025
More Roguelike & Monster Hunting Action
Don't sleep on the other games leaving PlayStation Plus in June either. If roguelikes are your jam and Inscryption isn't enough to satiate you, Rogue Legacy 2 deserves a look before it's gone. It's a more traditional roguelike, playing out as a platformer. Another notable title soon leaving PS Plus is Monster Hunter Rise. Any new fans to the series after Monster Hunter Wilds' immense success may be interested in trying the series' previous major release, which initially came to the Nintendo Switch in 2021.
After Us, AVICII Invector, and Kayak VR: Mirage may all be of interest to those looking for something new to play, though the latter requires a PlayStation VR headset. PlayStation Plus' Game Catalog is a great way to try new experiences, and Inscryption is one that shouldn't be overlooked while it's still available for no extra cost.
