The long-rumored PlayStation 5 Pro has finally been revealed in a technical presentation by lead designer Mark Cerny. It's typical for Sony, about halfway through a console's life cycle, to release a more powerful or compact version of its current console - think the PS2 Slim, the PS3 Super Slim, or more recently, the PS4 Pro. These updated consoles may offer better visuals, improved performance, exclusive games, or a combination of the three, potentially boosting console sales during a midlife decline.

The PS5 Pro is the latest console in that tradition. With improved specifications over the original PS5 models, and a handful of games soon to receive PS5 Pro Enhanced versions, longtime PlayStation s can expect exactly the kind of upgrades they're used to from Sony's mid-generational console revamps. Here's everything to expect from the PS5 Pro when it comes out later this year.
