Unbeknownst to some gamers, the PlayStation 5 records the microphone audio in addition to making a small video when they earn a trophy, and the results are hilarious. The PlayStation 5 came out a little over two weeks ago, and while there have been some issues reported of the consoles overheating during data transfers, there is no denying its awesome popularity. Despite releasing after the Xbox Series X/S, the PlayStation 5 sold almost double the number of consoles of its Microsoft rival on launch day.

Along with its launch, Sony delivered a host of new game releases and PlayStation 5 exclusives. Demon’s Souls.

With the punishing nature of the gameplay in Demon’s Souls, gamers will feel a great sense of relief and triumph after they finally vanquish a Demon within Boletaria. After sustaining blow after blow with nothing but some crescent moon grass to keep the slayer of demons alive in the game, players will undoubtedly rejoice in their victories with an outward display of vocal celebration. Something that one gamer did not realize would be recorded by his microphone along with the Trophy reward video. Helloiamjack shared their hilarious discovery on Reddit, after finally defeating the Tower Knight in the courtyard of the Boletarian Palace. As the heavily armored boss falls to its knees in a cloud of ethereal blue, Helloiamjack can be heard cheering in triumph as his efforts are rewarded with a newly acquired Demon’s soul and the Tower Knight Trophy award from PlayStation.

Many players tend to turn off their Trophy videos, in an effort to save on storage space. There has been a general concern from Sony fans that there may not be enough storage space on the PlayStation 5. However, Sony’s Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan assures gamers that this will not be an issue. In the instance of Helloiamjack, it is nice that their mic and videos were on to capture the gamer's jovial reaction.

For fans who have been unable to get their hands on a new PlayStation 5, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Sony has promised that more PlayStation 5 consoles will be available by the end of the year, which will be music to many ears. Hopefully, soon more gamers will be able to share in the elation of defeating a punishing enemy, whether their mics will be on or off though is up to them.
