The brutal anti-hero known as armed to the teeth with offensive weaponry that can easily disable, maim, and straight-up eradicate those who step in his way. After trading the soil of Earth for the vacuum of space, a variant of the Punisher acquires one of the deadliest arsenals the character has ever utilized, complete with gadgets ripped right out of a sci-fi movie.
Well-known for his borderline sadistic tactics when it comes to taking down a perceived threat, Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, most often unleashes hell in the form of various firearms ranging from assault rifle-style weapons, simple pistols, high-powered explosives and more recently, actual superpowers acquired via demonic means.
In the 4-issue series titled Space: Punisher, Punisher sets out on a space-faring quest for revenge as he hunts down the of a shady cosmic organization called the Six-Fingered Hand, with his sci-fi-tinged arsenal consisting of laser claws, a lightsaber blade, and the Ultimate Nullifier — the deadliest weapon in Marvel history.
Space Punisher Uses High-Tech Sci-Fi Gadgets to Utterly Annihilate His Foes
Space: Punisher - 2012 (Frank Tieri and Mark Texeira)
Opening this tale with Punisher taking on a horde of “Sym-Brood-Ants,” Frank introduces “Sound” and “Fury,” his sonic pistol and energy handgun that utterly obliterates his Klyntar-infused foes. Calling in his literal killing machine sidekick Chip next, Punisher unsheathes a very lightsaber-esque energy blade, then proceeds to drop a “blackout bomb,” a weapon of mass destruction that opens up a black hole and sucks in the Symbiote Brood-infested planet whole. Fighting a bulked-up version of Sabretooth, Punisher promptly stabs him with a pair of two-pronged laser claws, then finally unleashes the “most powerful weapon in the universe,” the Ultimate Nullifier.

Deadpool Defeated the Punisher With 1 Trick He Learned From… A DC Comic?
Deadpool once defeated the Punisher by pulling out an old trick, which he itted he stole from DC legends Denny O'Neil and Denys Cowan.
What’s interesting about this specific arsenal is obvious: it consists of futuristic science fiction-based weapons. Not one to travel across the stars (unless Cosmic Ghost Rider counts), Frank usually sticks to what he knows, with his military background and proficiency with firearms and hand-to-hand combat being his go-to ways to wage war. Yet since Frank is still a soldier at heart, having access to these types of tools makes him even more dangerous, with Starship Marie, a sentient ship capable of blasting enemies from orbit and teleporting Frank as needed, effectively turning Punisher into a vicious and unrelenting high-tech threat.
Weapons Like the Ultimate Nullifier, Black Hole Bomb, and Laser Claws Give Space Punisher and Edge in Battle
But who is The Punisher without his tried and true cache of military-grade firearms? For all the sci-fi weaponry Punisher wields in this space-set series, Frank still finds the time to sling some good old hot lead at his enemies, whipping out a machine gun and pistol later on in the story and immediately taking the lives of multiple bad guys in a way that harkens back to his gritty street-level roots. The Punisher will always be one of the most merciless and deadly vigilantes in the Marvel Universe and when given a sci-fi makeover, that’s even more so true.
Space: Punisher is available from Marvel Comics.

The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, who first appeared on Netflix's Daredevil. Frank is a United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper veteran who is highly skilled in martial arts, stealth tactics, guerrilla warfare, and knows how to use a variety of weapons. The death of his wife and two children led him to take matters into his own hands, and he has been killing criminals indiscriminately ever since. Despite being beloved by fans, The Punisher was canceled in early 2019. Thankfully for fans of Bernthal’s character, it was announced in 2023 that he would be ing the MCU by appearing in Daredevil: Born Again, starring Charlie Cox.
