In an interview with Collider, Krasinski revealed that he already has ideas for A Quiet Place Part III. Unlike his experience on the first film, Krasinski talked about already thinking about making another one while shooting Part II. Krasinski said, “It’s interesting, I genuinely hadn’t thought about a second one when I was doing the first one. However, I really had these questions while I was doing it.” He even went as far as to write down notes for himself in case a third part ever gets made.

Krasinski also shared his outlook on how he sees a third installment fitting into the universe of A Quiet Place. He sees a trilogy as a natural progression of the story of the world which he created. He also noted that Blunt compared the franchise to a book series and how A Quiet Place Part II fits as a second part to a three-story arc. A third film would serve as a natural conclusion.

Considering the acclaim of A Quiet Place and the early positive reactions to A Quiet Place Part II, it’s exciting to think that audiences will have even more time to experience the universe of this property. A Quiet Place was gripping in the way it told its story, using silence as a way to conjure fear and tension from the viewer. It made it feel like its own unique piece of cinema. Krasinski seemingly carried that energy into the second, considering the early reactions, and if he is able to do the same with the potential A Quiet Place Part III, audiences could be in store for one of the more memorable trilogies in movie history.
