For fans of open-world games and fast-paced action, there is no better title than the post-apocalyptic RAGE 2. Hosting a vast and open wasteland to explore, fans of the series or general fans of open-world titles will find a bounty of locations, encampments, and enemies in this title. Inspired by the bombastic worlds of both, DOOM and Mad-Max Id Software combines both the hysterical post-apocalyptic setting and fluid gun-play to create a satisfyingly desolate open-world title. As mentioned RAGE 2 is filled to the brim with weaponry for players to make use of during their journey. Each gun provides a varying degree of utility, and effectiveness during intense fire-fights.
One such gun is the fan-favorite "ace-in-the-hole" weapon from Id's other beloved IP, DOOM. The weapon in question is the vulgar, BFG, an acronym too vulgar to spread out. A powerful energy cannon, used in its native series to dispatch demons quickly and effectively, the BFG is a powerful gun and should be used if available. Finding the BFG is relatively easy, but there are certain stipulations required of a player before they can have access to the powerful weapon.
Where to Find the BFG in RAGE 2
For players looking to find the BFG, there is a rather, pricey, condition that needs to be met. To have access to the fan-favorite gun players need to have purchased the RAGE 2 Deluxe Edition. Otherwise, the weapon will not be accessible in the game.
For fans that are willing to pay the extra money to get the BFG, finding it is extremely easy. As you begin the game, you will be provided the Phoenix to drive and explore the Wasteland. As you begin to drive take the first dirt road that is available to you. Drive on this road for a while and continue until you hit a fork in the road.
As you approach this fork, a meteorite will begin to descend from the sky and strike directly in front of the player, in the middle of this fork. Exit the Phoenix and approach the fallen meteorite and you will find the BFG in question.
It is unfortunate that the BFG is locked behind the RAGE 2 Deluxe Edition, but if you are willing to spend the money it is one of the strongest guns in the game.
