Ramona Singer is catching heat from her fans after The Real Housewives of New York City star was spotted dancing in Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago casino at a party in which he was also in attendance. The original member of the New York franchise has been controversial since her first season of the show. Her cast refer to her as the Ramonacoaster, claiming they never know which Ramona they are going to get when they interact with her. Every season, Ramona is on the outs with a different cast member and spends the whole season on an apology tour in an attempt to make it right with everyone. In recent seasons, fans have grown tired of watching Ramona claiming she is trying to change each year, but showing no sign of improvement.
After the last season of the show performed so poorly, fans of the show were begging Andy Cohen and the network for a cast shake-up. Many were calling for the network to remove Leah McSweeney and newcomer Eboni K. Williams from the cast, claiming they made the show too political. Fans accused the two of sucking the joy out of the show which most people watched in order to get a break from the political divide in America. Others called for Bravo to remove Ramona, claiming her antics and polarizing comments are no longer acceptable or entertaining to watch in the current climate. Ultimately, the network decided to have two RHONY shows; one with a new cast, and one featuring the OGs.
Fans are now upset with Ramona for attending a party at former President Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago casino when he was also in attendance. A video posted by Ramona and her friends dancing with Trump and his wife Melania in the background in what looked like a private section. Most people called the video out as being super cringey, while others claimed Ramona was just looking for attention as always. One commenter suggested Ramona knew the cameramen were trying to film Trump, so she purposely stood in the way in order to be filmed. Another commenter boldly claimed, it is now clear why Ramona disliked Eboni so much, insinuating this proves she is a racist. Fans were enraged with Ramona for the way she treated Eboni last season, claiming she showed her true colors to the world.
Some commenters defended Ramona and didn't buy into the fact that she was making a political statement by attending the party. In their opinion, Ramona was only at the party to drink, have fun with her friends, and meet men. They couldn't picture Ramona discussing politics in any substantial way, claiming if she fell in love with someone who identifies as a Democrat she would attend those events. They seemed to be the only ones on Team Ramona, with everyone else claiming Ramona no longer feels the need to hide her beliefs and values since the truth was revealed last season. They said she has already been canceled, so she has nothing left to lose when it comes to her public image.
With all the hate surrounding Ramona, it will be interesting to see if she will be asked to appear on The Real Housewives of New York City's spin-off show featuring cast from the past. It is hard to imagine the New York housewives without Ramona, but her time could potentially be up. She has been entertaining to watch in the past, but is her unhinged nature too much for television now?
