Warning! Spoilers ahead for Titans #8!The DC Universe is about to be in serious danger now that Raven is on the precipice of unleashing her darkest side to the world. The smoke of "Beast World" has cleared, but in its wake, a new threat is within the Titans, threatening to engulf the heroes in darkness.

In Titans #8 by Tom Taylor and Stephen Segovia, the events of "Beast World" have left the people of Earth terrified. However, the team is so preoccupied with Beast Boy being villainized by the world that they haven't even noticed that Raven has been replaced by her demonic side and is spying on them for Trigon.

Trigon and Evil Raven and the Dark-Winged Queen DC

Trigon asks the demonic Raven why she's bothering to pose as the good Raven. Raven replies she wants to turn the Titans into their army, leading Trigon to reveal a rendering of a monster known as the Dark-Winged Queen, Raven's ultimate destiny.

Raven is On the Path to Become a Cosmic Monster

Doctor Hate Has Imprisoned Raven DC

It wasn't long in the Titans' latest mission before they faced a crisis that upended their entire world. Amanda Waller used her most powerful asset, Doctor Hate, to mind-wipe Beast Boy after he turned into a Star Conqueror. The Titans eventually tracked Waller and Hate down, discovering the shocking truth that Doctor Hate was actually Raven's demonic side given a physical form. Raven fought her evil half and sent her friends away to focus on defeating her. Unfortunately, Raven was defeated and her soul was trapped in the gem she had used to trap her evil side for years.

Raven's dark side has popped up every now and again, but now she's completely locked every good aspect of herself away. While Trigon doesn't go into much detail about what the Dark-Winged Queen is, she looks like a much larger and far more imposing cosmic being than her father. Worse, this evil Raven is hiding her true intentions from the Titans, planning to use their skills and powers to help Trigon finally conquer the Earth. Unfortunately, the Titans are a little too distracted with the fallout from "Beast World" to notice, meaning Raven just might assume control of the Titans.

Raven's Titans Could Take Over the DC Universe

Evil Raven Wants the Titans to Serve Her DC

While the Dark-Winged Queen's true power remains to be seen, Raven's evil side knows that the Titans are one of the strongest hero teams around. With them serving her and Trigon, Raven could much more easily bring the Earth under her control. Between Cyborg being able to shut down tech worldwide and the might of heroes like Starfire, Flash, and Donna Troy, the Titans would make a fantastic asset for her. Hopefully, Nightwing and the rest of the Titans can find out what's going on. Otherwise, Raven's dark side just may succeed where her father failed.

Titans #8 is available now from DC Comics.
