While you spend most of your time with the Van Der Linde gang in Red Dead Redemption 2, there are other Gangs whose Hideout locations you can find all around the open world. Many rival criminals scattered around the Wild West must be taken out to 100% complete the game. Some places are easy for Arthur Morgan to find, while others are hidden in secluded spots on your map.

Stock up on healing items, weapon ammunition, and other items that might help you take out enemies at a Gang Hideout. These places have waves of gang that will take cover and try to find positions to shoot you, with some bases having unique tricks that can be difficult to overcome. You only need to clear a Hideout once to complete it, even though foes there might respawn later.

O'Driscoll Gang Hideout: Six Point Cabin

Head Northeast In Cumberland Forest

The location of the O'Driscoll Gang on RDR2's Cumberland Forest Map

The O'Driscoll Gang's Hideout is found through RDR2's main story, in Chapter 2 of Red Dead Redemption 2. Wiping out the few O'Driscoll here is a fairly simple task, especially when you remain behind cover and rely on your allies to remove a few enemies. Eliminate a few foes stealthily to thin their numbers before a larger shootout, and keep this strategy in mind for other outposts in the future.

You can check your progress on Gang Hideouts by going into the game's Missions And Events menu at any time during your adventures.

Some of the rewards you can get from this place are very simple items you can sell for plenty of cash. For example, you can get at least two Gold Wedding Rings from the bodies of the O'Driscolls you take out. Other loot like a Platinum Pocket Watch will sell for decent money, so pick up everything of value and the basic supplies scattered around the Hideout.

Lemoyne Raiders Gang Hideout: Shady Belle

Go To The Southeast Coast Of Lannaheche

The location of Shady Belle on Red Dead Redemption 2's map

While you encounter the Lemoyne Raiders gang in Chapter 3, their Hideout is a far more difficult battle than you faced in the main story. This gang has its base on a large plantation and is defended by many enemies with powerful firearms. You may need to obtain the best pistols or revolvers in Red Dead Redemption 2 before challenging the small army posted at this location.

You will need an excellent plan to wipe out the gang here, so explore the area without drawing attention to see what cover you can use. There are plenty of places around the plantation that will break an enemy's line of sight in Red Dead Redemption 2. Loop around the main house as you begin fighting the Raiders to force them to leave their safe areas right into your awaiting gunfire.

Similar to the last Hideout, you need to loot bodies to gain valuable items, such as a Platinum Engraved Buckle on at least one of the Lemoyne Raiders. This Hideout has several small huts you can loot too for ammo and other small objects you can sell. New guns and bullets for them are plentiful here, allowing you to become as armed and dangerous as the gang you flushed out.

Murfree Brood Gang Hideout: Beaver Hollow

Travel To The Marked Area Northwest Of Finnesburg

The location of Beaver Hollow on RDR2's map

The Hideout of the Murfree Brood gang is encountered in Chapter 5 of the story, but you have the chance to clear this base earlier while exploring Red Dead Redemption 2's open world. Going to Annesburg, you can find a cave where the Brood hangs out and start taking out enemies just outside the cave. Make sure to find a good spot for cover before you start shooting in this somewhat unprotected area.

Red Dead Redemption 2 features various unique towns that players can visit and explore, but some, like Valentine, are more interesting than others.

The Murfree Brood wields machetes and other melee weapons, making it best to use a long-range gun to remove these gang . Eventually, you'll have to venture into the base's confined cave, forcing you to contend with their close-range fighting that could significantly injure Arthur. A Shotgun or a melee weapon of your own may even be the odds if you choose to bring either to the Hideout beforehand in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rewards here range from the usual loot you would find on gang to large amounts of cash the Murfree Brood were holding. Open chests within the cave of this Gang to get more valuable items and pure cash in equal amounts.

O'Driscoll Gang Hideout: Hanging Dog Ranch

Venture Northeast Of Little Creek Above Big Valley

RDR2 Hanging Dog Ranch Map

The second O'Driscoll Hideout comes about naturally through the story again, this time in Chapter 6 of Red Dead Redemption 2. Located on a relatively large ranch, this base is far more challenging than the one you cleared earlier. A Maxim Gun mounted in a barn's loft can shred through your health, but if you take control of this weapon, you can easily eliminate all the enemies at this Hideout with little effort.

Explore every house on the Ranch to maximize your rewards for taking out this Hideout. Inside each building, you'll find tons of food items and sellable equipment in cabinets, drawers, and chests scattered across the area. Leave no stone unturned, and don't forget to loot the bodies of O'Driscoll you took down when in control of the Maxim Gun.

Del Lobos Gang Hideout: Thieves Landing

Head East Past Stillwater Creek

The location of Thieve's Landing on RDR2's map

The Del Lobos Hideout is only accessible once you beat the main story and start the game's epilogue. Tackling this base is one of the best things to do after beating RDR2, and it is a huge challenge compared to other criminal havens you may have seen. The Del Lobos hide in a space that gives you few places to hide and few opportunities to perform stealth kills.

An excellent way to approach this Hideout is to circle the docks, which are secluded from the other base sections. This way, when you start shooting, Del Lobos can't get behind you and trap you in a war on two fronts. Make sure to take your time and identify priority targets to shoot first with your Deadeye before engaging in a significant battle to clear the Hideout in Red Dead Redemption 2.

While you can search bodies and the main camp of this Hideout for loot, the best items are on the ship posted at the docks. When you clear the Del Lobos out, go below deck to find a Gold Nugget, which can be sold for a ton of money. In this space, you can also find $25.00 in cash along with some Shotgun and Rifle ammo you can use against the next Gang you target.

Del Lobos Gang Hideout: Fort Mercer

Go South From Mercer Station And Northeast From Plainview

RDR 2 Fort Mercer Map

The farthest Del Lobos Hideout is found at Fort Mercer, a nice callback to the original Red Dead Redemption that some players might . A military base like this is organized, well-defended, and must be challenged with plenty of patience. Take cover behind the main gate before taking out gang on the outside of the fort to ensure you have fewer enemies to face when entering the Hideout.

You may be able to take control of a Gatling Gun in the center of Fort Mercer that can quickly destroy any enemies in the area. This gun is in plain sight, so make sure not to rely too much on using a weapon where everyone can see you.

Basic loot is everywhere in Fort Mercer, on bodies and within the structure itself. Travel around the scaffolding of this place to find hidden items where guards were posted, including some healing tonics that may be useful for other endgame activities. This blast from the past also has plenty of food items, so don't be afraid to stock up on supplies.

Del Lobos Gang Hideout: Solomon's Folly

Go Southwest From Benedict Point

Solomon's Folly is one of the Gang Hideouts originally only found on PC, but has been added to consoles along with other exclusive content. Like Fort Mercer, you can only access this Hideout during the epilogue of Red Dead Redemption 2. At this point, you should be incredibly familiar with how the Del Lobs operate.

You can stay back from a distance and use a long-range Rifle to take out most of the people at this Hideout, as many are exposed near an open campfire. This Hideout is small compared to others, only consisting of a small hut and some ruined buildings. However, some of the gang here will try to flush you out on horseback, so be prepared to reposition at different times.

Some dynamite is used by the Del Lobos here, but you can loot these explosives for yourself if you manage to take out everyone quickly.

Some of the loot here includes Cocaine Gum, Gold Wedding Rings, and at least one or two Potent Health Cures. A Gold Nugget can be found in the destroyed building's fireplace, alongside some Snake Oil found across the whole Hideout. The real loot, though, comes from a secret bunker you can find here that contains tons of cash for you to collect.

Del Lobos Gang Hideout: Gaptooth Breach

Head Southwest From Tumbleweed

Red Dead Redemption 2 Gaptooth Ridge Gang Hideout location shown on map

Another epilogue-exclusive Gang Hideout is a Del Lobos-controlled railway at Gaptooth Breach. This area can be hard to attack, as some of the structures in the Hideout have a high elevation for riflemen to shoot you from afar. Try to either sneak around undetected to the higher cliffs or hunker down in a cabin near the railroad tracks to set up a safe spot for you to pick off enemies one by one.

The office for the railway can be found below the cliffs as the railroad tracks start leading into the nearby mines. This building contains piles of money you can pick up for a quick reward without really engaging with the Hideout.

This base is massive, including several buildings and a nearby mine that the Del Lobos were operating. You'll have to take out some enemies in these mines to claim rare rewards, such as Gold Nuggets that can sell for large amounts of cash. As you travel around the Hideout, there will be small groups of enemies you'll have to take on in Red Dead Redemption 2 to claim any other items.

Bonus Gang Hideout at Twin Rocks

Travel Northwest From Armadillo In Cholla Springs

A seventh bonus Gang Hideout exists at Twin Rocks for anyone who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2. You should be able to travel here north of Armadillo, a settlement near Twin Rocks on your map. While you do not need to challenge this base to 100% complete the game, the extra loot given by enemies is a nice bit of extra content to expand the content of this huge RPG.

You can get a rare achievement in Red Dead Redemption 2 by taking out at least four of the six total Gang Hideouts found in the game.

This additional Del Lobos Gang Hideout only has a few enemies, who are relatively easy to dispatch. Beyond normal loot, the main reward for clearing this space is the Gin stocked up by the outlaws in this smaller encampment. At least one Horse is being kept here, but don't try to tame it until you've explored each of the houses in the Hideout for other items you can sell for cash.

How To Farm Money From Gang Hideouts

Return To Places Where Enemies Are Sparse

Red Dead Redemption 2 Money Guide

Every Gang Hideout resets after a time, even if you clear each enemy residing in one. For example, the Del Lobos at Fort Mercer will simply respawn at some point as you explore anywhere else on the map throughout Red Dead Redemption 2's epilogue. When you return, you'll find a nest of enemies once again ready to tussle with your gunslinging abilities.

You can farm money by returning to Hideouts when their enemies respawn, as this also resets the loot each base offers. Every enemy you defeat can be looted for small items that sell for cash, or simply a fistful of dollars here and there. There are no limits to how many times you can take on a Hideout, so go back to one light with enemies for easy pickings.

When you find all the Gang Hideout locations in Red Dead Redemption 2, you can return to them again to defeat enemies, collect items, and sell them for money in a get-rich-quick scheme worthy of the Old West.
