The bounty hunters and lawmen get pretty annoying in Arthur Morgan to cause as much mischief and mayhem as he can.

RDR2 was released by Rockstar Games in 2018, and two years later the game continues to enthrall players with its captivating storyline and wide selection of side missions and activities. Players can do everything from picking flowers to picking a fight, from fishing to robbing a train, and the only thing they really have to prepare for are the inevitable consequences – the possibility of getting caught by the law and having a huge, expensive bounty put on their head.

Unlike Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2, which is both a blessing and a curse. This is part of the reason why “Artist’s Way III” remains one of the most memorable missions in the entire game, since it doesn’t force players to deal with the repercussions of their actions.

Red Dead Redemption 2's Hidden Combat Glitch

There are four parts to the “Artist’s Way” mission, which sees Arthur Morgan assisting Charles Châtenay, a French artist known primarily for his nude works. In the third installment of the mission, Arthur attends Châtenay’s art exhibit at Galerie Lauren after receiving an invitation in the second chapter. It seems like a normal art exhibition until some of the guests begin to realize they’re the subjects of Châtenay’s paintings, despite having never consented to be in his work. As things escalate, a fight quickly breaks out, leaving Arthur and Châtenay to narrowly escape.

What's specifically interesting here is that there’s a glitch in this mission which can be taken advantage of before the fight begins. The game is programmed so that no lawmen are can enter the venue – that way, Arthur and Châtenay have time to escape. Yet this creates a different problem since it means players can perform all sorts of acts of violence inside the gallery without increasing their wanted status, thereby successfully evading the police. If players get to the highest level in the gallery, they can climb on to the roof, offering a perfect angle to ambush civilians. Since the police can’t step inside Red Dead Redemption 2's art gallery, they subsequently can’t reach Arthur. If players stay in the gallery, the civilians will attempt to fight Arthur, thus presenting another opportunity to get in on the action without risking a wanted status.

Although players likely won't want to remain in the gallery forever, it's nice to be able to enjoy the game's combat without the fear of law enforcement. The "Artist's Way III" trick in Red Dead Redemption 2 may not be useful anywhere else in the game, but it makes for one particularly entertaining side mission.
