Best Products by Reality TV Stars

As long as there have been reality TV shows, there have been reality TV stars using their fame to launch products - some of which have been very successful. Fans whoare old enough to Eric Nies from the first Real World seasonever back in 1992 will probably his subsequent release of workout videos. It may not have made any "best of" lists, but, thankfully, subsequent versions have improved since the initial release.

While some other star-made products unfortunately missed the mark - like the Kardashian sisters' "Kardashian Card" - some made quite an impression. They proved that great ideas can come from the least likely of places... like reality television.

The product line by the youngest star of Keeping up with the Kardashians is responsible for making her the wealthiest member of the reality TV family. With those kind of numbers and that kind of success, there is no doubt that plenty of people are fans of the product - and it doesn't look to be going anywhere in the near future.

There is no doubt about the success of the Skinnygirl brand or that it has inspired many reality TV stars to try their hand at products of their own in hopes of catching even a fraction of the magic the Real Housewives of New York star has found in her products. From margaritas to popcorn, this product line has had one hit after another.

Lauren Conrad, star of The Hills, has had multiple successful clothing lines at various price points, but her current product line spans clothing, jewelry, shoes, and even home goods. Available at Kohl's, Conrad is strongly featured as one of the affordable department store's main brands.

The star of The Simple Life built a brand that started as a jewelry line, which quickly became popular with many celebrities. It has since grown from that one product line into an entire lifestyle brand. At the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in 2010, Richie was even named "Entrepreneur of the Year" for the brand.

While there is no shortage of Kardashian-led product lines (Kylie Cosmetics is no doubt the most financially profitable), Khloe's body inclusive jean brand Good American is one that should not be overlooked. Customers love that the brand is focused on catering to women of all body types. This fact alone is commendable, but fans of the brand also rave about the actual comfort and quality of the product.
