As per Amazon, the official streaming release date for Red One has been revealed. Red One will be coming to Prime Video on Thursday, December 12. This means that Red One will be available to at-home viewers in just three days.

With the cost of marketing and publicity tacked on, Red One would have had to make between $500 million and $625 million in order to break even. For one, the movie was originally conceived as a streamig release before pivoting to theatrical. Additionally, Red One will hit Prime Video with enough time before Christmas that won't have the too much holiday film competition and can still appeal to viewers who are looking for a unique way to get into the holiday spirit. Even if Red One cannot make a full recovery at the box office, it will at least be good for the movie to potentially top the streaming charts soon, if all goes well.
