The recent remake of the classic Capcom title, Resident Evil 2 Remake reinvents the original for the modern generation. Combining a third person over the shoulder style with gorgeous visuals Remake is a perfect example of a remade game suring the original. Utilizing eerie sound design and effective use of shadows and dark corridors, Remake spawns a terrifying tone that is unmatched in most survival horror titles available now. The game has also sparked the juggernaut studio to begin work on a Resident Evil 3 Remake using the engine created in this title. Evoking a new standard for how the legacy franchise should be developed going forward.
One of the major milestones for the titles story progression is when players access the Boiler Room found on the Raccoon City Police Department rooftop. Providing a key item that will spark a player's progression for the rest of the story, finding this room is essential for success in the game. This guide will assist players in finding this room and why it should be on their number one priority list going through the Raccoon City Police Department.
How to Find the Boiler Room in Resident Evil 2 Remake
Before players can get to this particular room there are a few story conditions that must be met. Without meeting a particular condition in the game there is no way that a player can gain access to this room.
Players will have had to complete the Medallion puzzle and accessed the police station's underground section. After completing these section players will have gained access to the Crank item which allows access to the police station's rooftop. Once there Leon will climb down the ladder and be met with a cut scene of it breaking.
After this ladder breaks players will need to find a way back up to the main station. A part of this is getting access to the Boiler Room and the Green Club Key found inside the room. Be careful as you approach the room as two zombies will emerge out of the room and attack you. Quickly dispatch them and then go inside and claim your reward.
Players will need to activate the water pump system to stop the Helicopter fire, in order to get access to the police station, but after doing so Leon will be on the right path to make massive Story progression.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
