In the Separate Ways DLC for the Resident Evil 4 Remake, Ada Wong gets a fair share of weapons to find and choose from throughout the seven chapters. There are twelve weapons throughout the DLC, with Ada starting with a basic pistol, a submachine gun, and a tactical knife similar to her main story counterpart. The weapons are always a key part of any Resident Evil game, so understanding the options and where to find them are essential.

The Mercenaries Mode DLC in Resident Evil 4 Remake was the last DLC to be released, although people anticipated that Ada would get her own game mode at some point. Now that it is out, Ada and Wesker have also ed the available options for the Mercenaries Mode, giving another reason to revisit the game. Almost all the weapons, except for the Rocket Launcher, are upgradable, just like the ones in the main story.

All New Weapons in RE4 Separate Ways DLC

Some of the weapons in Resident Evil 4 Remake's Separate Ways DLC are the same as the equivalent weapons from Leon's story in the main game, but there are also some new and unique ones for Ada.

Starting Weapons

TMP SMG from Resident Evil 4

There are three starting weapons for Ada Wong, one of which is the same Tactical Knife that Leon starts in the main story. Additionally, she begins with the Blacktail Pistol and the TMP Submachine Gun, giving her a little more edge at the beginning of her story. While these might not be the best weapons in Resident Evil 4 Remake, upgrading them immediately gives her an excellent point to start from.

Weapons From The Merchant

Unlocked Through Exploration

The Blast Crossbow from Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways

There are two primary weapons that are unlocked from exploration in the DLC, and they are the SR M1903 Rifle, which can be found in Chapter 1 near the Castle Gate, and the Blast Crossbow, which is found in Chapter 3 in the Abandoned Factory. For the Rifle, head down to the lowest parts of the Castle Gate and enter an archway into a small room with a table in the corner. YouTuber Wolker4 shows you how to get there if you need a visual guide.

The Rifle will be on the table, free to pick up, and immediately placed in your inventory. For the Blast Crossbow, enter the Abandoned Factory to the right of the Merchant and head to the room where Leon's bags were left in the main story and the Blast Crossbow will be on the same table as Leon's kit was before.

Players can run past the enemies in the Abandoned Factory and grab the Blast Crossbow to make it easier to take them out; however, be wary of traps along the way.

The Chicago Sweeper from Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways

There are two weapons unlocked through completing quests. The Elite Knife can be earned by completing all 7 Resident Evil 4 Remake DLC. This is a better version of the Tactical Knife and is quite useful. There are fewer Merchant Requests for Ada than for Leon, so this is more practical to earn in the DLC. The Chicago Sweeper, however, can only be unlocked by completing the Separate Ways DLC on Professional Mode with an A-rank or higher.
