The Lady Dimitrescu is a tall Resident Evil villain who pursues Ethan through the early stages of Resident Evil Village, in a similar manner to Nemesis or Mr. X.

Lady Dimitrescu stands at around nine foot six inches tall, allowing her to tower over Ethan throughout her all too brief appearance in Resident Evil Village. It didn't take long for Lady Dimitrescu to become a hit with fans, even before Resident Evil Village was released, and many were saddened by the fact that she isn't in the game for very long. However, given her popularity, fans can expect to see Lady Dimitrescu popping up in crossovers and spin-offs for years to come.

Later this month Lady Dimitrescu enters Resident Evil Village Mercenaries mode when the Winters' Expansion launches on October 28. It seems that she will be different from how fans her, however. Resident Evil Village Winters’ Expansion Game Director Kento Kinoshita told Polygon that Lady Dimitrescu's height had to be changed for the Mercenaries mode, changing a core aspect of her character, although she'll still be taller than most other characters.

Lady Dimitrescu Had To Be Shortened For Resident Evil Village's Mercenaries Mode

In the Mercenaries mode, characters like Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu use special abilities that reflect their powers in Resident Evil Village, with Lady Dimitrescu being a physical powerhouse. According to Kinoshita, Lady Dimitrescu is still taller than the other characters in the Mercenaries mode, but she had to have her height reduced during development. This was to avoid her hitting the ceiling. Lady Dimitrescu's new height in Resident Evil Village's Mercenaries mode is now under nine feet tall.

This change might be seen as sacrilegious by the fans, but it seems to have been a necessary choice, especially as the Mercenaries mode uses stages adapted from areas that were already present in the game, and won't have freshly made stages, like the ones in the Resident Evil Re:Verse. The team has gone out of its way to make Lady Dimitrescu play as she does in the game, by cutting enemies up with her giant scissors, performing physically dominant chokeholds, and summoning the RE Village's Dimitrescu sisters to come in and chop up foes alongside her. The developers also let Lady Dimitrescu throw furniture in the Mercenaries mode, so Resident Evil Village fans will be getting the total package in of gameplay when she's added to the game later this month.
