In the lead up to the next limited-time Village trial giving players a chance to explore the gameplay mechanics.

The next demo, which takes place in Castle Dimitrescu, is also supposed to revolve around gameplay. PS4 and PS5 players can jump into it tomorrow on April 24; like the Village demo, the Castle gameplay will only be available for a limited period of time. North American PlayStation owners will have access to the free trial from 5:00 pm PDT on April 24 to 1:00 am PDT on April 25. In Europe, the trial will begin at 7:00 pm CEST on April 25 and come to a close on April 26 at 3:00 am CEST. Capcom plans to start deploying Resident Evil Village's multiplatform demo on May 1.

With tomorrow's new gameplay demo looming, Capcom and PlayStation unleashed another story trailer, a two-minute glimpse at the insanity Ethan Winters will encounter in the latest Resident Evil entry. This new look at what's in store doesn't pull any punches, either. For example, Chris Redfield's role in the overarching narrative receives a bit more texture, though he is not shown in the best light. The trailer also places added emphasis on Ethan's interactions with the unnamed community's villagers.

In a DualSense controller, for example, will help convey the weight of Ethan's weapons. Plus, players who are able to take advantage of the new console's 3D audio will feel an extra layer of immersion while traversing the highly detailed environments.

Based on the trailer above, Ethan is bound to find himself in an even more dire situation this time around. And it seems he'll have few allies to rely on as he searches for his and Mia's infant daughter, Rose. Speaking of Mia, the circumstances surrounding her fate appear far more complex compared to the horrors that befell her in Resident Evil 7.

In addition to what could be a gripping single-player campaign, Capcom is packaging RE Village with the Resident Evil Re:Verse multiplayer suite. A celebration of the franchise's 25-year history, the online offering will allow players to take control of numerous RE heroes and villains in an intense deathmatch experience.
