A recent addition to Netflix's movie catalog is Revelations, a thriller with a small but notable cast of South Korean stars. In Revelations, audiences follow the threads of two different characters. One is a pastor who believes that punishing criminals is not only necessary, but is an act of divine intervention. Then, there is a young detective who is on the trail of a missing persons case, but who is bogged down by memories of the sibling they once lost. Somehow, these two disparate people find their way into each other's lives.

Revelations may have a tiny cast, but it makes up for it with big names. For example, the movie is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, whose most notable claim to fame is his direction of the 2016 horror hit, Train to Busan. Since then, Yeon has continued making dark sci-fi and action films, while also writing and directing popular Netflix K-dramas like Hellbound and Parasyte: The Grey. Yeon is ed by Alfonso Cuarón, who produced Revelations and is best known for films like Roma, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Children of Men.
