People are endlessly interested in how the wealthy live, and while this has been the motivating factor behind many Revenge, which tells the story of Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp). Going by the name Emily Thorne, she does what she can to take down the Grayson family as payback for a betrayal years earlier.

Revenge is one of those shows where not every episode is as well-crafted as the pilot and there are some problems with storylines and characterization along the way, but it's still a fan favorite. While many parts of the series evolve after the first episode, a lot of other aspects are familiar throughout the show's run.

Changed: Emily Thorne's Real Identity Is Eventually Revealed

Near the end of the fourth and final season, Emily Thorne's real identity is revealed and the world knows that she's actually David Clarke's daughter, Amanda.

This is something that fans were definitely curious about, as it didn't seem possible for Amanda to hide forever. It was necessary for her to do everything she could to make sure that she revealed her own identity, though.

Stayed The Same: Amanda And Nolan Are Good Friends

revenge Nolan Ross

Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) is a fantastic Revenge character as he's Amanda's right-hand guy. Without him, she wouldn't have the technological savvy necessary to enact her master plan, and she wouldn't have someone to confide in, either.

Amanda and Nolan remain good friends for all four seasons of the show. In the series finale, she shares something with him that will allow him to move onto solving another mystery, her very sweet final gift.

Changed: Amanda Clarke Ends Up With Jack, Not Daniel

Daniel Grayson revenge

In the pilot, Amanda/Emily and Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman) are engaged and, in fact, everyone in town is attending their engagement party. It seems like they're the perfect pair, but fans know that she's just pretending to be with him in order to get close to his family.

Amanda's relationship status changes between the pilot and the series finale. Instead of marrying Daniel, she makes a love connection with her childhood friend Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler).

Stayed The Same: The Beautiful Hamptons Setting

Revenge TV show

The beach is almost a character itself on Revenge and one thing that has always stayed the same is the beautiful Hamptons setting. It simply wouldn't be the same show if Amanda/Emily didn't live in an incredibly beautiful beach house or if the Graysons didn't have a huge estate nearby.

The town is an excellent setting because it manages to blend the places where the wealthy hang out with the less fortunate, as Jack and half-brother Declan (Connor Paolo) have a bar called Porter's Stowaway Tavern.

Changed: Grayson Manor Is In Flames By The Finale

Victoria Grayson revenge

Grayson Manor is a huge part of the show as it's where Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) hides from the world and also makes sure that she's the Queen of the Hamptons.

By the finale, the house is in flames, as Victoria caused the fire and wanted everyone to think that she died in it. She does end up dead, however, as David Clarke (James Tupper) is the one to kill her in the final episode.

Stayed The Same: Daniel Doesn't Make It

Josh Bowman as Daniel Grayson on Revenge

Another thing that stayed the same about Revenge is the fact that Daniel doesn't make out of this crazy situation alive. While fans are led to believe that Daniel's body is found on the beach during his and Emily's engagement bash in the pilot, it's not him at that time.

But he does die in the fourth season, making him one member of the Grayson family who doesn't survive to the end of the show.

Changed: Charlotte Wises Up To Her Evil Family

revenge Charlotte Grayson

Charlotte Grayson (Christa B. Allen) is David Clarke's daughter and a very fashionable character. In the pilot, she's a typical perfect Hamptons resident, seeming to love the wealth and privilege that her family has given her.

Her whole character changes by the finale as she wises up to how totally evil her family is. She hates that they pretended that Conrad (Henry Czerny) was her father, and she wishes that she could have been brought up in a much nicer, more comionate home.

Stayed The Same: Amanda/Emily And Victoria Always Circle Each Other

revenge Victoria Grayson

In the pilot, Victoria inquires about Emily with the head of security at Conrad Grayson's company, and of course, Emily's main motivation is taking Victoria and the Graysons down.

The fact that these two characters are enemies who are constantly circling one another is something that stays the same.

Changed: David Clarke Isn't Dead After All

revenge David Clarke

David Clarke is Amanda/Emily's sweet and smart father and in a wild twist, fans and Emily both find out in season 4 that he's actually not dead after all.

This is a big change from the first episode, as Amanda's belief that her father was framed and died before anyone knew his innocence is what inspires her revenge.

Stayed The Same: Amanda Doesn't Stray From Her Plan

Emily VanCamp in Revenge

Amanda's desire to finish out her plan also stayed the same on Revenge.

Even though it became difficult at times and many people would have probably thrown in the towel, Amanda never stopped trying to get revenge on Conrad and Victoria, and that's why fans were so enthralled with the show.
