The dysfunctional dimension-hopping animated duo Rick and Morty will be on-hand for a Mixer and Twitch stream of Fallout 76 next week, ing chart-topping streamer sensation Ninja and rapper Logic. This combination of talent summons some mighty guns on the road to release of Bethesda’s sequel to the fan-favorite post-apocalyptic Fallout series, which has been whetting gamer appetites through a cascade of beta (or "B.E.T.A.") sessions.

Ninja has regularly broken records with his streams, and has become a permanent presence within the culture, and combining forces with Rick and Morty (voiced by show co-creator Justin Roiland) on November 8 has a certain internet-breaking potential. Whether Logic will take the opportunity to perform any Fallout 76-inspired songs on-stream — or possibly a special cover of "Get Schwifty" — remains to be seen.
Rick and Morty’s relationship to video games extends beyond last year’s VR game Virtual Rick-ality. Following the broadcast of Season 2 in 2015, the pair were featured in a League of Legends announcer pack, replacing in-game call-outs with their own irreverent commentary. As for Logic, the rapper has a YouTube channel which has featured considerable gaming content, including Let’s Plays, features, and even longform reviews.
Bethesda’s wisdom in collecting these personalities into one blowout event has the potential for a massively entertaining stream for Fallout 76, which sees the first-person action-RPG series exploring a quasi-MMO, online-only format for the very first time. Bucking established trends from its predecessors, Fallout 76 doesn’t just dispense with offline play, it’s mutating series standards like the time-pausing V.A.T.S. system, which has prompted some concerns from long-time Fallout followers.
Still, with more beta sessions on the way before its November 14 multi-platform release, as well as this stream event, there’s plenty of time to disprove any doubts. The next beta session for Fallout 76 lands on Saturday, November 3 from 5pm to 9pm EST, with another extended session scheduled on the following day. While there are no additional betas scheduled prior to release day, fans will at least get this stream to tide them over.
