R.L. Stine, referred to in some circles as the “Stephen King of children’s literature,” is best known for writing the popular Goosebumps and Fear Street lines of horror novels. Both Goosebumps and Fear Street have been adapted to live-action; Goosebumps has been given both the film and TV treatment, and Fear Street was most recently turned into a trilogy of films on Netflix. In addition to his many novels, short stories, and screenplays, Stine has begun dipping his feet into the comics field as well, having written 2017’s Man-Thing miniseries for Marvel. Now Stine returns to comics with a brand-new series in Just Beyond, which will harken back to the glory days of monster movies. Illustrated by Irene Flores, the book will be on sale in print and digital October 26.
