It's hard to believe it's been two decades since the first franchise is just as popular now as it was then. Over the course of 10 years, the Harry Potter fandom watched the cast grow throughout the eight movies. But that still wasn't preparation enough for the reality that those young witches and wizards who kept us spellbound all those years ago are all grown now and settled down, married or with kids.

Most of the Potter stars have managed to keep their love lives under the radar, making it difficult for fans to keep tabs on what their favorite celebrities are up to now. Still, once in a while, one or more come out of the shadows with an announcement on the latest development of their love lives.

Rupert Grint - Ron Weasley

As a leading character of the franchise, Ron (Rupert Grint) was a fan favorite. He was part of a large family who got along well enough and was taunted by the likes he and Hermione finally itted their feelings for each other.

His real-life love life with Georgia Groome is just as magical. The couple has been together since 2011 and in 2020, he announced the birth of their baby girl named Wednesday G. Grint.

Matthew Lewis - Neville Longbottom

Neville (Matthew Lewis) had one of the best character arcs in the Harry Potter movies. He started off as a shy, introverted boy with the misfortune of falling into all kinds of mishaps that made him a laughing stock. His childhood was a sad one too, as his parents were tortured to insanity by Death Eaters, leaving him to be raised by his grandmother.

By the end of the franchise, Neville had gained a lot more self-confidence and played a pivotal role in Voldermort's final defeat. He married Hannah Abbot, a former classmate and member of Dumbledore's Army. Outside the Potterverse, Matthew met Angela Jones at an event for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in 2016 and they've been married since May 2018.

David Tennant - Barty Crouch Jr.

Barty Junior (David Tennant) was a Death Eater whose loyalty to Voldermort knew no bounds. After escaping prison with the help of his parents and some Polyjuice Potion, he impersonated Professor Alastair Moody and helped the Dark Lord return. Sadly for him, he didn't get to enjoy the fruits of his labor, as a Dementor gave him the kiss of death once he'd been discovered.

In real life, David found his happily ever after with Georgia Moffet, an actress he met while filming Doctor Who. The couple got married in 2011 and have five children.

Afshan Azad - Pa Patil

Pa (Afshan Azad) was one of the Patil twins, who, unlike her sister Parvati, was in House Ravenclaw. There wasn't much said about her love life in the movies, apart from the disastrous Yule Ball she attended with Ron, who sulked over Hermione the entire time. Her twin, Parvati, had a similar terrible time at the ball, which she attended as Harry's date.

Thankfully, Afshan's reality is a lot more magical than her Potterverse character's life. She married Nabil Kazi in August 2018 and in April 2021, announced that they're expecting their first child in July.

Devon Murray - Seamus Finnigan

Apart from a couple of appearances alongside the main cast, and some throwaway comments about his childhood, there wasn't much the audience knew about Seamus (Devon Murray) from the movies. He was Dean Thomas' best friend and ed Dumbledore's Army, even though initially, he doubted Harry when he spoke of Voldermort's return.

His real life, on the other hand, is quite different. In January 2021, Devon announced that he and his partner, Shannon McCaffrey Quinn, were now parents to a baby boy they named Cooper Michael Murray. He posts regularly on Instagram about his life as a dad and it's easy to see the former Gryffindor is head over heels for his little bundle of joy.

Jessie Cave - Lavender Brown

After a short relationship with Ron Weasley, Lavender (Jessie Cave) ed Dumbledore's Army and fought alongside fellow Gryffindors and others who'd ed the organization in rebellion against Death Eaters controlling Hogwarts. Jessie was actually the third actress cast for the character and had the chance to play out the more prominent storyline in the sixth movie. She was presumed dead during the Battle of Hogwarts due to werewolf injuries.

In reality, Jessie is very much alive and has been with her partner, Alfie Brown, since 2014. The couple had their third child in October 2020 and named him Abraham "Bam" Benjamin.

Scarlett Hefner - Pansy Parkinson

The Slytherin alum was mostly shown as a mean girl throughout the Harry Potter franchise, picking on Harry, Hermione, Ron, and even Neville. Pansy (Scarlett Hefner) had a crush on Draco and attended the Yule Ball with him as his date. Apart from a few scenes indicating her hero-worship of Draco, nothing much came of her crush.

Away from the Potterverse, Scarlett is married to Cooper Hefner and they had their first child in August 2020—a beautiful baby girl they named Betsy Rose.

Gary Oldman - Sirius Black

Sirius (Gary Oldman) didn't have much screentime in the films, but he went down in history as one of the franchise's beloved characters. He spent 12 years in Azkaban for a crime he didn't commit, but eventually escaped and later died at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange. For a little while, Harry found happiness with Sirius, as he was his godfather.

Sadly, Harry didn't get much time with him before he died, but there was the small comfort that he'd learned the truth about Sirius and that he was truly innocent of the crimes he was accused of. Outside the world of wizards and witches, Gary is on his fifth marriage to Gisele Schmidt, who he married in August 2017.

Eddie Redmayne - Newt Scamander

Although Newt (Eddie Redmayne) wasn't in the Harry Potter films, he's still part of the Potterverse due to his role in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. In this universe, Newt marries Porpentina Goldstein, mostly referred to as Tina, and the movie details Newt's life and his discovery of magical creatures. He even writes a book with a title that's the same as the movie, which most Potter fans know and study from the original franchise.

Beyond the Harry Potter universe, Eddie has been married to Hannah Bagshawe since December 2014 and the couple has 2 kids - Iris Mary Bagshawe and Luke Richard Bagshawe.
