The first-ever edition of multiple shows within the Drag Race franchise. With the UK as the hosting nation, Drag Race UK season 1 stars Baga, Blu, and Cheryl came into this competition to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Jujubee and Mo Heart (formerly known as Monique Heart) came into Drag Race UK vs. The World to represent the main US series. Jujubee competed on Drag Race season 2, All Stars 1, and All Stars 5, while Mo appeared on Drag Race season 10 and All Stars 4. The cast then welcomed Canada's Drag Race season 1 stars Jimbo and Lemon, Drag Race Holland runner-up Janey, and Drag Race Thailand host Pangina.
There's no denying that the queens were the most gagged to see Pangina Heals, who appeared as the host of Drag Race Thailand seasons 1 and 2, ing the show as another contestant. Baga and Jimbo revealed that they had met each other on tour, and many girls freaked out over being in the same werkroom as a Drag Race legend like Jujubee. At first glance, it wasn't entirely clear if nationalities would play a role in this competition. Baga, Blu, and Cheryl made friends with other queens in the room, whereas Jimbo and Lemon didn't seem particularly close, either. Jujubee and Mo also didn't indicate whether or not they'd have each other's backs as US queens.
This week's maxi challenge was a talent show, but the truth is that nearly all of the queens on Drag Race UK vs. The World performed original songs through either live singing, lip syncing, or just dancing. Jimbo's hilarious clown-like performance was the only one that stood out as being different from everyone else in the cast. When it comes to the several lip sync numbers, there was no doubt that Pangina Heals outperformed all the other contestants. As expected, Jimbo and Pangina were the top two queens of the week. On the other hand, the judges clearly didn't connect with Janey and Lemon's performances, noting that they lacked originality.
During their Untucked deliberations, Jimbo really didn't make it clear whether or not she would save her Canadian peer Lemon. Meanwhile, Pangina connected with Janey in the sense that they're both the sole queens representing their respective countries. The first Drag Race UK vs. The World lip sync between Pangina and Jimbo was a very clear win for Pangina. In the end, RuPaul declared that Pangina won the lip sync, and Pangina subsequently eliminated Lemon from the competition.
RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs. The World airs Tuesdays at 4 p.m. ET/PT on the WOW Presents Plus streaming service.
