Washington's career is characterized by powerful drama. He recently set a career achievement through Gladiator II, as the movie became the highest-grossing in his filmography. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in Gladiator II, for playing Macrinus.
Ryan Reynolds is, in some ways, a very different actor than Washington. He is primarily known for comedy, frequenting movies like Free Guy and the like. Like Washington, 2024 has also been a fairly significant year for Reynolds' career. Most notably, he reprised his role as Deadpool for Deadpool & Wolverine, the first of the Deadpool movies to be officially part of the MCU. The movie did extremely well at the box office, making over $1.3 billion. Over a decade ago, Reynolds and Washington teamed up to make an action movie that is now leaving streaming soon.

All 12 Denzel Washington Movies From The 2000s, Ranked

Now, Netflix has revealed that Safe House will be leaving the platform in just a few weeks. Safe House is officially leaving the platform on January 1, meaning the last day to stream Reynolds and Washington's action film will be December 31, 2024. Safe House is part of several titles leaving Netflix on that day, including four Transformers movies.
Why You Should Watch Safe House Before It Leaves Netflix
Safe House Is A Good Genre Film
Safe House may not be the best movie in either actor's career, but it is one worth checking out before it leaves Netflix. Made in a one-person action army-type style, the movie is a genuinely fun romp. It also does feature good performances from both Washington and Reynolds, who have both gone on to become regular action stars through franchises like The Equalizer and Deadpool. It is a shame that Safe House will only get a few more weeks of Netflix play, but that is just more reason to catch it now before it goes away.
