The Criminal Ventures of Saints Row come with a wide variety of missions, and the best of the group provide some of the game's most fun content. With each one having multiple levels, the player will have plenty of time to get accustomed to them. This is a major bonus for the best Ventures in the game, because it gives the player more time to have fun with them.
Criminal Ventures make up a good amount of the content in Saints Row. With some story missions requiring the player to have unlocked or completed a certain amount of Ventures in order to continue, they will need to find tasks that are not only fun, but beatable as well. Thankfully, the variety means that there's something for anybody, including returning activities from previous Saints Row games. With the player being required to spend so much time on their Criminal Ventures in order to beat the game, it's fortunate that they feature some of the game's most enjoyable tasks.
The best Criminal Ventures in Saints Row are memorable and fun, while also maintaining a fair difficulty level. With both new activities and old to choose from, almost every player will find a Venture that they specialize in. The best Criminal Ventures in Saints Row involve radically different tasks, but all of them can give the player a big boost towards the end of the game while providing them with a good time.
3. The Eurekabator Offers Some Of Saints Row's Best Gear
In Saints Row's later installments, it became known for its increasingly ludicrous nature, and that included its arsenal. Weapons such as the Dubstep Gun and the Abductor Ray showed how weird the series' weapons could get, but one of Saints Row 4's biggest mistakes was going a little too far with it. ittedly, this was a part of the reason the games eventually got too ridiculous to be taken seriously. However, while the Eurekabator never goes that far, it does offer the player some new high-tech gear to enhance their arsenals.
The Eurekabator is a tech startup that the player can buy in order to perform alpha tests on their inventions. Most of them are based on Marshall technology, which leads to most of these tests ending in gunfights with the paramilitary squad. Each Eurekabator mission grants the player access to whatever they were testing, all of which offer incredible rewards. The Hoverboard a small and maneuverable vehicle that can damage other vehicles with a drop, but the other inventions really steal the show. The Quantum Aperture is easily one of Saints Row's best unlockable abilities, letting the player shoot through walls. Finally, the Thrustbuster is a rocket-powered football that can take enemies out of the fight with a single hit.
Everything that the player can unlock through Eurekabator is incredibly useful, with the Quantum Aperture in particular overshadowing almost every other ability in the game. The testing is pretty fun too, and can leave the player impressed with their new gear. The only real downside to the venture is that there is only three levels, easily the shortest of all the ventures. But when it grants such excellent rewards, few are likely to complain.
2. The Laundromat Is A Series Of Entertaining Diversions
The Laundromat offers one of Saints Row's more interesting ventures. The Laundromat itself is a front for an illegal crime scene cleanup business, where the player's crew will hide bodies and clean up evidence. However, they wind up running into jobs where they get in over their heads, and Saints Row's absurd nature means that they encounter those sorts of jobs often. This requires the Boss to step in on multiple occasions, using their driving and cop-avoiding skills to get the job done.
The Laundromat missions all have a bit of humor to them. All of them take place at various spots around town where the Boss is just trying to enjoy some down time, like a farmer's market or a birthday party, but they get a call from the Laundromat's employees that forces them to run out and handle the job with time left to get back to whatever they're doing. The missions themselves require the player to take a car from the scene and get rid of it in various ways after evading detection. Between destroying it at an Idols hideout or flipping it into a pit with a front loader, no two goals are the same.
While Saints Row's Fraud activity is harder than ever, Laundromat missions never feel overwhelming, and its variations help the missions feel fresh all the way to the end.
Although the player may wonder about their crew's competence, the missions themselves are plenty of fun and easy to master. Saints Row stepped up their game in regard to driving missions for the reboot, and the Laundromat missions are one of the best examples of such. The rather cool Laundromat outfits that the player can unlock for completing the Venture are a bonus.
1. Chalupacabra Is Everything A Good Saints Row Criminal Venture Needs
As one of the first Criminal Ventures available to the player, Chalupacabra is the best foot that the mechanic could start on. Chalupacabra isn't a very complicated mission set, and it could easily be the first one that the player completes fully. However, that does nothing to take away from the activity's quality, as it's one of the most fun diversions in the game.
In Saints Row's Chalupacabra missions, the player is tasked with taking out rival food trucks, who are running Santo Ileso's drug trade in addition to fast food. After finding each rival truck in the city, the player will have to take out the gang guarding it, then steal it and drive back to Chalupacabra where a second firefight will break out. However, this second fight will have Chalupacabra employees backing up the player. In addition to the firefights, Chalupacabra also provides an excellent opportunity for the player to make use of Saints Row's car combat as they sideswipe enemy vans out of the way and off the road.
For being such an early Criminal Venture, Chalupacabra stands out as one of the game's strongest. Chalupacabra takes several of the game's strengths, including action and silliness, and makes a Venture that is up there with Saints Row's best Side Hustles in of entertainment. It may face some stiff competition, but Chalupacabra is Saints Row's best Criminal Venture.
Saints Row's Criminal Ventures run through almost every aspect of gameplay to give the player something new to do with each one. While their quality does vary a bit overall, the best Criminal Ventures are some of the game's biggest driving forces. As the best of the best, these Criminal Ventures should be a top priority for any Saints Row player.
